Keith Jarrett's ECM Bremen Lausanne Concert: Luminessence Reissue vs. Original Pressing Showdown 🎹🎶
Today's short dub session reminds me of "Nightflight" with "Alan Bangs" on Saturdays, Germany, 0 a.m. to 2 a.m. (a total of 700 programs from 1975 - 1989) and of course "John Peel's music." These two gentlemen have my taste in music, apart from that mainstream, significantly influenced. During this time, all the savings were invested in expensive tape decks and tapes. Great time. Very good stream again today
No disagreement on your Top 10. It's all just personal preference as you know.
Thanks for posting this informative and timely video. I enjoyed it.
Great video and channel! Have you heard anything on if blue note is going to repress out of stock titles? They seem to give very little information on this. Thanks!
Hi guys from 🇨🇦. Long time subscriber to M45s channel but This is onlybthe second of this series ive watched/listened to. Im hooked! Going back through them all ! Love it
Wow. Konkan Dance is a great Album. Thanks a lot for that tip. I bought it wednesday as a FLAC-file on bandcamp. And that sounds very beautiful too at home.
By plugging these obscure and hard to get records they also serve themselves in stimulating prices up and up. Let’s face it, you only need 100 people seatching after these records to expand the micro bubble. Nice that you can buy re-issues as well. But it would be nice to do a show with all cheap grails as well
I believe that I mostly show cheap records, don't you agree?
Would love the repress of 90125 but will only buy it if it was pressed at 33 rpm. I have no patience with 45 rpm pressings anymore.
Wunderbar !!
Bought this record along with the Auteurs New wave...still love them both
Great stream guys. Missed the live show but enjoying just as much on this Thursday morning ✊
Maybe more midrange on the old pressings so it could be heard clearly on radios from the 50’s.
Wonderful. The show is a true public service!
What country is Stunty from?
France
Yes, France, but I live in Sweden. Did you plan to "visit" my record shed? ^^
I enjoy watching these videos, but i think CD's sound better 😮@StuntrockConfusion
@@anthonybernard3689 That's great, you save a lot of money!
@@StuntrockConfusion do you and Michael cringe every time Thomas gets fingerprints on the records? 😆
Over the last eight-months disruptive music has become desirable and enjoy walking into the misdirection. Yes, hair in the soup at times is welcome. Thomas you always deliver and your music taste are so wide and diverse. Thank You, Michel - Great entertainment !
And I'm just chopped liver? ^^
Come on, you are Grade A Stunty @@StuntrockConfusion
This is without question the best series on UA-cam. Just when I thought I was out you pulled me back in and now my wallet hurts!
Thomas has great taste in music
I own an original 1980 pressing. Sounds OK. Nothing to write home or brag about. The UHQR brings the album to life. It's not cheap but if you really love the album or it means something to you, it's worth the money.
good evening boys
Great discussion. Mr. Pete---------> aging hippie
very enjoyable video Michael. I see the same things at record shows that you mention

EU TENHO O VINIL O CD E A FITA K7 DESTE ALBUM SENDO QUE A FITA K7 ACHEI POR UM ACASO EM UM SEBO
Dave Brubeck's "Time Out" is a true classical LP. I love it and I play it often.
I have all (but one) of the Elvis Presley reissues of Speakers Corner and they sound amazing! And what I also love about Speakers Corner is that they stay as close to the original cover art as possible. They even put the barcode on a sticker on the shrinkwrap instead of the jacket.
I just started collecting original US pressings of Elvis Presley a few months ago. To be sure it actually is a US pressing I mostly buy them in the US. I pay like maybe 30 or 40 dollars for a 'Mint' copy, depends on the title. But with the extra shipment, tax and custom fees the total sometimes comes close to a hundred dollars, just for one record! It just isn't fun collecting anymore.
Computer love 🖥️ 😍 Computer liebe 🖥️ 😍
Thanks, I welcome more Krautrock reviews.
You can't put a pressing plant into one of the most expensive locations in one of the most expensive cities in the us. Really stupid business decision. Has more to do with trying to be cool, vs trying to make a quality product.
Killer Grails dude. Big wants for me!
3 krautrock lps in my list of wants. At the WFMU record fair in 2023, it was problematic on many fronts. Bad location, no where to eat and no re-entry when you left. Luckily that is changing this year but record fairs are always exciting and a bit nerve racking because you know you're going to see some rare records, that you will undoubtedly want. Cheers Michael!
great one as always. Eddie Grant is an unheralded artist to me despite his hit in the 80s. No one is aware of his earlier stuff including the Equals.
He spends $400 on a record and he gets fingerprints all over it!
Bin auch ein Dire Straits Fan der 1. Stunde. So großartige Musik und damals schon so gigantisch gut produziert...das gesagt kann ich 100% unterstreichen. Ein Grund warum ich Musik so unglaublich Liebe!
Play The Beatles Happiness Is A Warm Gun and Queen Bohemian Rhapsody back to Back.
New Jersey USA - at least once a month, every month. There are fairs in many locations.
Wasting that beautiful Record Player on this kind of rock music. Try playing some deep underground NYC House music. To really see what your audio system can really play. 😊😊
THE BEST SOUND! *broken tape deck plays* Lol, I'm sure it's just the phone audio.
Thank you for turning me into Krautrock. Love it and after reading about the history love it even more.
Congratulation to this really expensive turntable, however I have a handful of doubts that this turntable will sounds three times better than my LP 12 Klimax for a third of the price. Don't take it personally. Regards Chris
1-Michael redeeming words those of yours on this video's captions are. 2- No wonder Christ IS the Lord of 2nd chances for all, but still like Reagan would say : Trust but verify. 3-...Shema!!!.
That Xhol Caravan sounds a bit like Ethiopian jazz...
'''...of course a bit out there, in a very subtle calming '' tend to be 2 mutually exclusive descriptions to most folks, in the same way that LP cover art might be something else but pretty is not, UNless Michael might be speaking wokenese or in some sort of Barbarian dialect that escapes me somehow.
What do we do now?
Also es könnte durchaus was dran sein.
WAr mir garnicht bewusst, dass es eine Börsen-Saison gibt - nie darauf geachtet. War auch seit den 90ern das erste mal wieder im März auf einer. Viele Grüße!
Hello everyone… Michael.. thanks for ably hosting! Stunty.. thanks for the Soft Machine Plaza reveal… Thomas… on your doorstep you have the astonishing GIRLS IN AIRPORTS.. they deserve wider recognition, don’t you agree? Your weekly stream could be the means to do it 🖐
Schöne Gedanken, 1-2 Outdoor Börsen im Sommer irgendwo im Park (Pott)wäre mal was. Scheiben natürlich Knaller nur nicht mein Budget ✌️
I am a grumpy old man...I have thousands of records......I rarely play them......I played my OG OZ 45 of The Stones LADY JANE yesterday and was pleasantly surprised how superior this MONO GEM sounded....maybe sometime in the future I might play another record!!!!!!
Hey Michael, Weed. Ist it Lilo Wanders😌.
